Shipping policy
DELIVERY, SHIPPING AND EXPORT
4.1 Delivery shall be made in accordance with the Applicable Incoterm stated in the Supplier’s order confirmation.
4.2 Where the Customer arranges collection or uses its own courier: - delivery takes place when the Goods are made available for collection at the Supplier’s premises; - risk passes at that point; and - the Supplier has no responsibility for the acts or omissions of the Customer’s courier.
4.3 For website orders, the Supplier shall arrange delivery using its nominated courier.
4.4 For other orders, the Supplier may arrange delivery on behalf of the Customer and charge the Customer accordingly.
4.5 Where the Supplier arranges delivery, it does so as agent for the Customer only and is not the carrier.
4.6 The Customer is responsible for: - all shipping costs (unless otherwise agreed); -insurance; - import duties, taxes and customs clearance; and - compliance with all laws in the destination country.
4.7 Risk passes in accordance with the Applicable Incoterm or, where none is specified, upon dispatch from the Supplier’s premises.
4.8 Delivery dates are estimates only and time is not of the essence.
4.9 If the Customer fails to take delivery or arrange collection within 10 Business Days of being notified that the Goods are ready, the Supplier may: - charge storage fees at £10 per pallet per week (or such higher amount as the Supplier may reasonably notify from time to time); - store the Goods at the Customer’s risk and cost; and/or - resell or otherwise dispose of the Goods and recover any shortfall from the Customer.
4.10 Where delivery is arranged by the Supplier and the Customer (or its consignee) fails to accept delivery at the stated delivery address, the Customer shall be liable for all resulting costs, including: - storage charges; - re-delivery costs; and - return of Goods to the Supplier.
4.11 Inspection and Claims
The Customer shall inspect the Goods upon delivery. Any claim for visible damage or shortages must be notified in writing to dryftorders@dryft-world.com within 3 calendar days of delivery. If the Customer fails to notify the Supplier within this period, the Goods shall be deemed accepted for the purposes of any visible damage or shortages.
This clause does not affect the Customer’s rights in respect of defects not apparent on reasonable inspection at the time of delivery or any non-excludable statutory rights.
